Oregon Decorative Rock began in 1976 when Elmer Hawkins opened the first of two stores in NE Portland. Initially operated by Elmer and his wife, Catherine, the stores are now run by his sons. Always with the community in mind, Oregon Decorative Rock has employed hundreds of young adults from the surrounding area, and supplied literal tons of rock to schools, parks, memorials, and northwest home owners.
